Wacky Wednesday

Today was another successful day as I continued to work out. Ok, well it has only been my second day in a row to do the ski machine, but it's a good start for me. With 10 minutes the first day and 15 today. Woo Hoo, on a roll. Speaking of rolls, my caloric intake has been very good as I continue to track daily what I eat.

I was walking outside, but the weather hear has been so cold that I decided to take it indoors with the ski machine. Works well. I guess I really got serious as the new year rolled in and am on a great roll. I see a big change in my attitude and fighting the triggers. I am trying to make eating healthy, exercising and loosing weight my top goals from now on, and then maintaining as I have done in the past and was quite successful I might add.

I realize, like many, that I have a way to go in realizing all my goals, but as many have suggested, breaking them down into small attainable goals has really helped. Since the first of the year I have lost a total of 8 lbs already!! But I also am full aware now what to do when the plateaus arrive, and that is to just push on through. I really believe I will do this this year. I'm cheering for you also!!

    Absolutely agreeing with the comments so far. Concentrate on eating healthy, drinking enough water, and moving. You will get there! And also, watch for non-scale victories. Don't give up! Keep going. In fact, I had a non-scale victory of one inch lost, despite the scale not moving in the direction I hoped for almost a month. And finally, the other day, it moved. So now double bonus of 1 pound and 1 inch lost.

I am so happy to hear that you are back with us and in the battle again. I am at an ugly plateau right now and it makes me so mad I could spit nails! But I am walking a 5k every day and logging a race at least once a week. This is my motivation. And I think I need to change up my workouts too. Back to cardio one day and strength the next. Those stability ball workouts take a lot out of you on cardio days!

Anyway, I am happy to see you back here and that you are with us. And I break my goals in half, and then half them again if I need to. I haven't reached the first 50 pounds yet, but I am 42 pounds closer than I was before!

    Absolutely! Break them down...and pat yourself every time you meet your smaller goals and challenges!

And use all type of measuring tools not just the scale! Get a measuring tape, your tightest jeans/pants and run up and down stairs and think how you feel. Then measure all these again in 10days to 2 weeks. You won't be breathing as heavy, you will loose inches and jeans will start to not make you turn blue!
