I found this podcast from the Nutrition Diva to finally shift my brain into understanding the importance of a healthy lifestyle rather than losing weight.
It really made me feel like it's okay to lose weight slowly. I never thought of myself as a person "on a diet" or followed any crazy plans like that. Not formally. But now I realize, I wasn't too far from that mindset. My previous mentality was if I can lose more than 2 lbs a week, then why not? As long as I can get to my goal weight, I'll be okay afterwards and I won't have to work as hard later. They do it on the Biggest Loser, don't they? (Even though I am aware a lot of them gain the weight back.) I never was able to be that drastic and race to my goals. But it did make me feel horrible when I didn't lose any weight at all or even gained any. That was my biggest problem in the last few months: The guilt... I feel horrible for gaining most of my weight back. But if I just focus on a healthy lifestyle rather than the weight, I know I will feel better and live better for the rest of my life.
