Some people might think it's crazy... but I bought a scale that doesn't tell you how much you weigh. It tells you how much you have lost since the first time you weigh yourself.
I know it's just a number but this makes it easier to start without the dreaded "weigh-in".
I think it's important to actually weigh yourself to keep motivated. With so much to lose I can drop 10 lbs and not feel a big change in my clothing and weight can creep up without me even being aware. (ok, maybe I'm aware but in denial)
I think the progress is more important than the actual number on a scale.
