Feeling pretty darn good. I was hungry yesterday, so when my brother said he was going to the store to buy some burger, I told him to buy a lb, and we could split it. I went to read, and a few hours later I came out to cook up the extra meal, and watch T.V. My brother told me at that point that he had bought me a Faygo cola ( 24 oz ). It sounded good, and I had even put it in my tracker. I had already planned out what I would say in my blog today..lol. That is messed up, but I had a story, and had justified my cheat, knowing that it was bad for me. By the time I finished cooking though, I had talked myself out of it, and didn't drink it. My brother drank both.
This morning I woke up, and was down to 220.4, a loss of 1.4 lbs. I ate my eggs, and was tired so I went back to bed. My brother woke me up when he got home, and I just weighed in again, and was 219.8. I am going to count 220.4 as my official weight though, and hope that I stay below 220 for tomorrow's weigh in. I am cooking up lunch, and dinner, and then plan on taking a short walk by the river. It is 45 degrees outside, and sunny. The snow is melting!
Tonight I plan on dominating whomever I play against at basketball. I am hoping to make it an hour. Usually once I start playing, I no longer feel tired. I feel tired because I am really just getting back on track with low carb, and secondly, along with feeling hungry, when I get sleepy, it is usually a sign, I will be losing weight. Yesterday I ate 2300 calories( after removing Faygo ), and still lost over a lb. So I am hoping to lose another lb tomorrow. Basketball burns 866 calories according to my tracker, in one hour. I think basketball is my transition sport, if I ever plan on running. I hate running, but have to during a game, and never notice it that way. I remember loving to run as a small child, but that stopped when I became a big child..lol. I'm not going to run, just to run though.
Finally, I am cutting sodium out again from my diet. I have been using table salt to flavor my chicken, but just using pepper, and garlic today. I tend to use salt when I re-start low carb to make it easier. Everything is better with salt.. except my heart..lol. So it will taste bland for a few days, and then I will start to be able to taste the salt in the chicken, which is actually very salty. Think about the fact that regular food is so salty/sugary, that we lose the ability to taste the normal salt in meat, and sugars in vegetables. I wasn't even that far off the tracks. I remember at the start it took me 3 weeks to taste any food. I am hoping it is just a few days, since I only had 1-2 small cheats a week, over 3 weeks. 98% of the time I was good.
U-M basketball game tonight against Nebraska. I plan on inviting the guys over after the game, to watch THE GAME. I will buy them a pizza, and eat my dinner after they leave though ( with any leftover pizza ). They know all about my diet, so they won't let me eat any. A couple of them are bigger than me, so they can enforce it. One of them is 6'6" 240..lol. I think they realize that I skipped out on meeting them for 15 years because I was so big. They are rooting for me to get below 200. I can control things better in my house anyways, and I am home when they leave..lol. Bonus!
