Made a "deal" with 2 friends in July to each lose 5o lbs by 12/31/12. Well I came in at 56..yeeha! The other 2 didn't make much ground. I was hoping we could do it together to support each other but it worked out ok for me anyway.
My next goal is another 50 by 5/31/13. This may be harder to achieve. I'm in a "holding pattern" with no weight loss for 2 weeks. I know this is normal but am a little scared it will be a long plateau and derail my resolve.
I'm currently following the Chris Powell "Choose to Lose" and guess I skipped a chapter... every 4th week I was supposed to change it up a bit (more calories and carbs) to avoid a plateau. It's called a "slingshot" so that's what I'm doing this week. If I get to eat more and lose it will be a win win:)
Did my "Slingshot" week and lost 1.2 pounds! So I ate more (and extra 300 cal every other day) and lost weight. Now back to my regular alternating between high and low carb/calories for the week. It will be interesting to see if I really have avoided the plateau.
