So yesterday I complained about only losing 0.4 pounds after my first week. My goal is to average at least 1 pound per week. I don't want to change my weight ticker unless I am down a full pound or more. I set a goal to use the food tracker this week, at least for a few days. After only 1 day of weighing, measuring and tracking, I somehow lost the rest of that 1st pound! Coincidence? I don't think so!
I hear over and over again, that people who use the SP food tracker are successful at weight loss. Lesson learned!
I had used the food tracker in the past and it had seemed like too much trouble. I though it would be such an inconvenience, but it wasn't so bad this time. I already have a lot of foods listed in my favorites. I was pleasantly surprised at how many foods are already in the main search. So many people have entered so many foods by now, that I found most of what I was looking for without having to enter a new food myself. I just verified the info the first time I pulled it up in the search and then added it to my favorites. You can even earn 1 spark point (up to 2 spark points/day) for verifying if the info is correct or not.
I tend to eat the same foods from day to day, so I can just copy a food from one day to the next. I use my iPad mostly. Sometimes, I wrote down what I had eaten in a notebook and entered it later in the day, but I tried not to go too long before entering it in the SP tracker. I found it helpful to watch my calories, carbs, fat and protein throughout the day, so I could adjust the rest of my meals for the day to stay in range.
Anyway, I am sold!!! I hope I don't have to use the tracker every day forever? But I am willing to do whatever it takes to succeed at losing the weight!
Just 1 pound so far but, still I'm thrilled!
