10 Weeks...

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

Tomorrow begins what will probably feel like both the longest and shortest 10 weeks of my life. Long because I am tired and every part of my body aches, and I can't find a comfortable sleeping position. Short because HOLY CRAP I am going to be a mom! I am so excited to meet my baby girl! Also looking forward to maternity leave. The idea of not working for 6 weeks is really appealing to me right now.

I'm working on getting the baby's room ready. The crib is assembled and I am getting prices to get her dresser refinished. I am waiting on one more quote and I can get that scheduled. It is normally something I would do myself, but the time of year and giant baby belly are preventing me from doing it this time around.

I have a baby shower scheduled on February 16th. I'm looking forward to that.

Yay for being 3/4 of the way done!

When I was having my children it seemed that I was pregnant forever! Then when I started getting grandbabies, they came fairly quickly. Now, the great grandbabies come mighty fast! Good luck to you in your last 10 weeks!

Woo hoo soooo close! I know what you mean about REALLY looking forward to your leave - me too! I plan to take 9 or 10 weeks but the bad part is I am due April 14 and our fiscal year end is March so I will be there for the insanity - when I am 38 weeks pregnant. OMG my blood pressure rises just thinking of it!

Wow, the final 10 weeks already!! You're in the home stretch! I can't wait to meet your little girl too! Be sure to keep us posted! Good luck with everything!!

Will you be taking any time off before the baby arrives, or do you plan to work up until you deliver? Either way, enjoy that time off, it goes so darn fast. This is the first time I'm having a baby and I'm not working!
