Lost weight without even trying...

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

I have lost to date...75 lbs. with weight watchers. I lost 3.8 lbs. this morning without trying.

I had been living on hospital foods since friday when mom went in for surgery on her leg so to have that happen is unexpected...and very good.

However, I do need to now gain back 12 lbs. to be in weight watchers good standings.

Mom is doing as well as can be expected regarding her recovery from surgery. The plastic surgeon says that she cannot try out for a football team though--HA!!.

But everything looks fine according to them. I have been talking to her and she sounds just very tired and weak so I am being advised to stay home until the weekend when my brother and sister in law come back to Ohio to see mom.

I do not know yet about whether my aunt will be here this weekend, but, she also wants to go see mom as do my girlfriend's parents.

Trying also to clean house for mom and myself and organize my book collection. My question is...my brother wants me to let him take them to the library out by them in Indiana.

I want to get some of my money back and sell them to half price books.

Which way is better?.

If you bought them you should get to sell them

Knowing how tight money can be...I would sell them.

I think you should sell what you can to a used book store, and donate the rest. I usually find the used store will buy about half of my books. and KEEP the ones that you want.

With respect to the books ( I am a big reader and have a large selection of books) I think it depends how urgent it is to get 'rid' of the books. Myself when I have read 3 or 4 of the books I have I take them over to the public library and donate them - that way I know a lot of others can benefit from reading them.
