In September of 2009 I went over the 300 lb mark. I have been as high as 326, maybe even higher but didn't get on the scale. I joined a 12 wk. holiday wellness challenge at work and set my goal for 16 lbs, since I weighed in at 315.2. Today was weigh-in and I weighed 299.0. I cried. For the first time in a very long time, I feel like I can do this. My goal is to get to 250 lbs and to maintain that. My Dr told me that is a great weight for me. When I was 325 lbs it did not seem doable. When I decided to take in 5% increments it seemed a little easier. Now that I have met that 1st goal it seems very doable. Now instead of looking at needing to lose 75 lbs, I now can look at needing to lose 49 lbs. I haven't felt this hopeful and happy in a very long time. Sparkpeople and Zeal Wellness Drink has given me the ability to do this.

    Very proud of you. I am right where you are. I started at 333lbs! went down less than this then stopped SP for 2-3 months but trust me, IT IT VERY DOABLE and you are doing great! Lets get this weight off and feel wonderful!

    Congrats! I remember that milestone feeling FANTASTIC! You can do this! I get overwhelmed by the big numbers also. I break it up into smaller goals that feel much more doable... and they are! You've got this.

    That's fantastic!!! You can do it, especially when you break it up into small goals like that. I know that looking at a major weight loss, the numbers are daunting. Making it in steps is the best way to stay focused and on track.

    Sparkpeople and the welness drink are just tools...YOU are the person who did all the hard work and had the ability to do it inside you.     Congrats Kim!! Good for you. Breaking through that number barrier is a very emotional thing. Just know this, you are capable of doing this, and you WILL do this. One step at a time, one lb at a time. You may well even surprise yourself.

    Fabulous! I hope you are extremely proud of yourself, as you should be. I hope you are picking out another interim goal before you achieve your final goal. It worked so well for you over the 12 week program, it sounds like this is a good way for you to go. Good luck on your continued journey.
