of my blog posts begin with "once again", but I'm at it again! I quit smoking on December 9th and started tracking calories and increasing my activity on December 12th. I feel extremely confidant in my quit and I have lost 5 pounds in the last month.

This week I am amping up the exercise by taking the January Jumpstart Fitness Challenge. At work I am doing at least one 10 minute video workout, Pilates, aerobic, or strength, and walking a mile each afternoon. We have moved the Wii out of the living room and the TV out of the bedroom and into the room with the treadmill, so they will be used more often . We can now play the Wii without disturbing my husband's TV watching and I can watch TV on the treadmill as well. I am doing yoga and strength exercises on Wii fit for 20 minutes a day and then my boys and I play Just Dance 4 for a half hour or so. I really want a different Wii exercise game and we need floor mats since the floor is hardwood, but those things will have to wait till I can save up money from not smoking to buy them.

We discovered that my husbands work will pay for a gym membership also, but we have to have a health screening first and it's not till April. Not sure we will use it, we have to go 18 times a month to get it 100% paid for which is hard with kids, but we'll see when the time comes.

I've also taken up knitting (to keep my hands busy and not smoking) and I am working on a scarf. I have started over a few times, the last by unraveling about 3 feet because I finally realized I was doing it wrong, but I think I have it down now. Hopefully I'll have a scarf to wear before it gets to warm to do so! It'll be ready for next winter anyway.

In the last 6 months I have passed 2 parts of the CPA exam. I am taking the next part in April and the last probably in August so that will finally be done.

I think that about catches up my life :) Here's to meeting goals in 2013!
