Back Tracking

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

I spent this morning back tracking. I have been walking minimum of a mile a day for as long as I can remember. Most days it is three miles a day and then make ups. ( After all I promise you and me three miles a day and I have been faithful.) Some times I have even walked as much 12 and 13 miles a day to make it up!! However, along about the end of the November I just stopped tracking my fitness on Sparks. I have absolutely no idea why! This morning I thought I deserve credit for my efforts. I decided in order to be completely honest I couldnt log over a mile a day. So I did just that I logged a mile a day!
I logged a total of 32 miles and I didnt even make it all the way back!
Sometimes we forget to give ourselves credit. Imagine how many miles I actually walked! The things we track can quickly add up. Do the math you may even amaze yourself today!!

We truly forget that what we put in changes what we get back. This morning I looked back and most of blogs have a lot of comments. My last blog had one response! I need to start giving back!

What you doin?

Hiya Bootsie. It has been a long time but I have decided to give it a go once again. I fell back in September and really did damage to my left knee so right now I am all about exercising that knee if nothing else. I am glad you are doing so well, wish I could say the same.. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I really related to your comment regarding "giving yourself credit"! Good point! In reading the responses, I also liked the Sparkler Nancy-, who mentioned your body did not!

Hang in there, my Lemon friend! I understand where you are coming from and can easily relate!

You give back to me, that's for sure!!! And I truly appreciate it.

32 miles since November??! When you put it that way it seems like a monumental, insurmountable task. I agree with you. Let's not underestimate what we are actually doing. You rock!

I know what you me bout not tracking. I find it easier to track fitness than food, especially when I make soup from scratch. I am glad you took time to see an celebrate what you have accomplished. Good job! emoticon emoticon

I am feeling better to-day thank you for checking

I had been looking at my friend feed and noticed you were logging a lot of fitness mins now I know why. Fantastic job on all the miles you have walked. You are quite right we do not always give ourselves credit for what we do. I tend to blog for me and if anyone comments it is a bonus but it is great knowing we are not alone.
Anne :)

You may have forgotten to give yourself credit... your body did not. It probably thanks you.
Acknowledging your achievements is a good thing and something you can be proud of.
