Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. ~ Albert Einstein ~

Sometimes you have to change things up. If your tactics are no long working, something's gotta give. Time to add more exercise to my day or maybe increase the intensity. This plateau's gotta go!!!

I'm trying to get my hubby to go do some geocaching with me (GPS treasure hunt) on the weekends when it isn't so cold (I don't like the cold). I read about it in one of the SP articles over the weekend & it sounds so fun!! Here's a link to the article:

We have a GPS that has a walking mode & when I searched for our zip code, I discovered that there are about 40+ "treasures" in my area.

For information on what geocaching is, how it works, & "treasures hunts" in your area, check out this website: www.geocaching.com/ . Doesn't that sound fun?

Today's thought:

Blessings to you!! emoticon emoticon

Geo caching is such a great family activity. I've gone a few times and today I was thinking about how I need to get out and do it again. It's amazing how many there were just in my little pocket of the world. Sounds like there's quite a number there to keep you busy for a bit too. Enjoy. Let us know how it goes.

From what I understand geocaching is great! My nephew takes both his children to do it, but I'm with you I would need to wait for warm weather. Hate the cold!

My husband and I got into geocaching a few years ago. It's amazing how many places we've been to through geocaching that were in our area that we'd never heard of before. We've also done some when we've gone on vacation, but found that's a lot more difficult if you don't know the local landmarks to get you to the starting points. We even put out three caches ourselves. It is fun! Enjoy!

Have fun with that. We were supposed to go once with friends (we don't have a walking GPS) but it got cancelled. Sounds fun.

Geocaching is a great family activity. I have a friend that is really into it. When we went camping last year she made a list of all the ones in the camping area and we all went. Lots of fun.

I personally have over 30 caches I have hidden. It is so fun. And, it's not what's in the caches-- it's the journey. Through it we've found great trails and state gamelands we go to again and again. It is so fun. Don't start with micros. Start with bigger ones til you get some "caching sense". One was hidden behind a reflector in a bowling alley parking lot - an hour hunt in a not great place. I prefer a big ammo box after a mile hike! Some people hide ones and like it if there are lots of DNFs (did not find). Makes feel smart. My caches are easier to find. I want people to go to someof my favorite spots. Have fun!

I used to LetterBox ... it's a lot like Geocaching except without the GPS. Soooo much fun ... you get outdoors, you get exercise and there is a point to it other than exercise. Enjoy! I hope he goes with you!!

Treasure hunting sounds like a blast.
I should know by Sunday if I have to change things up a bit.
    This plateau's gotta go!!!
I can't say I'm on a plateau but "live in fear of the next one" if that makes any sense.
Right now I just don't know how to squeeze anymore exercise into my already long day.
It will have to wait for my day off. I'll put thought into it between now and then.
    have a great day.
