Sensa Diet, Good or Bad?

Tuesday, January 08, 2013

Well I never thought I would be starting this, believing it to be another fad diet out there to start and fail at. After all how can just one little shaker do so much to change how you eat. But I decided after seeing this advertised EVERYWHERE that I would give it a shot. Today is day one of hopefully a massive change in my life and how I not only feel but also how I look. I was not sure if I was going to taste a difference with Sensa on my food. But surprisingly it was not offputting and actually and surprisingly it worked! I usually have a large salad when we do chef salad at the house and believe it or not... I was not as hungry as I was before eating. I finished it (barely) and am not that hungry even now, two hours later.

Now even though it worked, I believe, I will hold judgement for when I see a difference in not only how and what I eat but also if I am shedding the pounds I need to. I am not expecting to lose 10 lbs in a week, but a few here and there would be nice. Anyways here's to hoping any who.

Two weeks ago I caved to the ad for Sensa and ordered the free trial. I figured for $1.95 shipping/handling what do I have to lose. A friend of mine is using it and dropped a lot of weight following WW and using Sensa. He said that although he is working hard by eating healthy and exercising, that the Sensa helped him by curbing his appetite and eating smaller portions and it helped him get over those plateaus.

I started eating healthier and exercising two weeks ago to give myself the head start before my Sensa arrived. Without it, I lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks. My Sensa arrived yesterday and now I am continuing with my new health plan and Sprinkling as well. I do notice that my taste and smell senses seemed to have awakened. They say that is the way it works. It sends a message to your brain by wakening your senses and telling it that you ate enough. Who knows...I guess I will see if it has any noticeable differences as time goes on. If I don't see a change during the trial membership I will cancel it then. However, nothing is going to stop me from moving forward and reaching my goal!

I am also using Sensa, started on January 18. It may simply be "fairy flakes" but for me, it's working. I've lost almost seven pounds. My appetite is nothing like it was, and best of all, I have NO cravings. I'm not "on a diet." It may just be my mindset, but if sprinkling Sensa on my food works (psychologically or physically), then I will sprinkle away.

I told my doctor that I need to get this weight off. He told me simply, "Lock yourself in a closet, you'll lose weight." (He was being tongue in cheek, of course!) So, I went and bought a closet called Sensa. I will give it six months. Having used it for two and a half weeks, I can already see myself making changes and looking for better food choices.

Saw that same commercial but it seems like it does not have much info.
