Making Progress

I'm so proud of myself. I am making progress within the first 8 days of the new year! I have been getting some serious sleep, which I haven't been able to do in years! I think I haven't slept for 7-8 hours night since I was a young child. Yesterday was a little disappointing because I got only 6.75 hours of sleep. But that's okay, I'm not going to be too hard on myself. Plus it feels like my body is starting to become accustomed to me preparing for bed at 10:00 pm (no later than 10:30 pm), because I almost fall asleep instantly once I'm in the bed at that time. So, tonight, I will be in that bed at 10:00 pm.

Also, I have already lost 4 pounds with the few changes I've implemented into my lifestyle. When I did my weigh-in yesterday and saw that weight loss, I almost shouted. But I held back because it was early in the morning and I'm pretty sure I would startled my neighbors.

When I put a star sticker on my calendar because of the goals that were met for that particular day, it instantly puts a smile on my face. Smiling is so much better than frowning! I'm making sure my monthly goals are lifestyle goals, not dieting goals. I'm creating a new body that's healthier and more fit. I can do this and I will do this!
