You asked and asked the date of my knee replacement. I so appreciate the kindness and concern of all of my Spark Friends.

Today I saw the anesthesiologist and she asked me questions, I asked her questions, my friend who is my health power of attorney asked questions. We both liked her very much. I told her one time I had surgery and they were going to take me to my room and I told them I couldn't breathe. They said you are breathing. I said, no, I can't breathe and they put oxygen on me and kept me in recovery a while longer. The oxygen did miracles. This lady told me I did the right thing.

She told me they would not put me out, that they would numb me from the waist down and not overdo it on the anesthesia but she would be right there to take care of me.

Now the 16th I see the cardioligist for a stress test and he has to fill out some papers if I can have the surgery or not, then they will give me a date.

So you are up to date. emoticon emoticon I want to be able to

Thank you for updating us Irene, it sounds like everything is progressing nicely. I, too, ask my doctors a gadzillion questions! Since it's our body, we need to know everything they plan to do. You are a wise lady!

Let us know when you get the surgery date.

It sounds as if you had a good visit with the anesthesiologist. I also had spinal anesthesia for my knee replacement. On the other surgeries for my leg they did general anesthesia. Let us know what the cardiologist says and then when you have your knee replaced.

Irene I am so glad you have someone to go with you today. The weather was so bad in Weslaco. Were you driving in it?

I am glad you take charge of your health and tell those doctors when you need something.
