One Day at a Time!

After taking a few months off from SparkPeople, I came back last week. I guess you could say I took a vacation from making healthy choices - not a good thing for sure! When I stepped on the scales last Tuesday, I was shocked at how many pounds I had put on since October. I was also mad at myself for allowing this to happen. I had done so well last year and then with just a few short months of not sticking with it, I blew it! But I am human and I cannot get anywhere beating myself up continually. I did the best thing I could do - I started logging my food and making sure that I got at least 30 minutes of exercise. As of today, I have lost almost two pounds. It's a slow and steady start and I am happy with it. I was going through some old photos last night and found a picture of myself from about 20 years ago. I was wearing the prettiest dress and had a nice little figure. That picture went up on my refrigerator last night. It will be a reminder to myself the next time I have a craving for lots of cookies or cake that I don't need! emoticon
