Do you ever want to disappear?

Tuesday, January 08, 2013

Sometimes I want to disappear,
sometimes I wish I wasn't here.
There are days where I am left,
no light or happiness, I am bereft.
Do you ever feel the world upon your chest?
Do you ever feel the world asks more than your best?
The disappointment gets me down.
The failure leaves only the frown.
Do you ever feel that you are too much to too many?
When you need support there isn't any?
I push ahead when it seems fruitless.
I continue to struggle when it seems useless.
I don't want to let myself go.
I don't want to be this low.
Do you ever feel lost and alone?
Do you ever feel you are not your own?
Sometimes I just want to leave.
Sometimes I just want a reason to believe,
That when I reach the finish line,
I will finish well, I will shine.
Are you listening, do you hear?
Do you ever want to disappear?

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I seem to be going through a really stressful time lately and sometimes I do just want to disappear...but I am learning to cope with this stress. Sometimes it just feels good to get it out and it seems my outlet is poetry. I never feel much like life changer but I love to be able to encourage people. I have always felt that losing weight was something other people did and that I would never be able to do it. Now I know that anyone can do it and I love encouraging others to the same realization. Thank you again for the encouragement! It is very helpful, especially when you are down!!! emoticon

I'm lucky, I never want to disappear. What I want is for other people to disappear which is a billion times harder when your a parent or a bonus parent to your own or a significant others babies!! I'm learning that I can't control everything, I can't control certain people that I'm somewhat stuck with for the 18 years we're lucky enough to have our babies at home with us before they leave the nest for bigger things. As far as disappearing, I hope you don't. I'm looking for inspiration from life changers like you. No pressure really but know that you do make a difference and I appreciate you. emoticon
