*hangs head in shame at the length of her absence*
I know, I know. I have a million excuses, but they're all still just excuses.
First things first - Yoda isn't my trainer anymore.
I know what you're all saying.
HOW COULD YOU???
It wasn't my fault, I swear! He left the gym to be a fireman. I teased him that maybe he's just making his way through all the jobs that make calendars so that he could be Mr. January as a fire man and Mr. February as a trainer, etc.
NEVER FEAR, though. He is still around. He still checks on me and I still get in trouble for that double cheeseburger and cheese fries and skipping the gym. Also he's still planning on running a half marathon with me in July.
There will still be Yoda stories! They just won't be as frequent.
Confession Time: I haven't been to the gym since Yoda left in December.
Yikes. It's been that long. Wow.
In my defense, I've been gigantically busy. In November I was sick and I also wrote a 50,000 word novel. In December I was still sick, my brother got married, Yoda left the gym, I met a guy who lives 3 hours away and we sort of started dating, and Christmas happened. So far in January I've spent some time with the guy, dealt with New Years Eve, resolved to not make any resolutions, skipped the gym, and lost 2 pounds. Lol......it's crazy that I lost weight, huh? Actually I think I'm losing muscle.
Did you catch that part in there? The part where I MET A GUY?? Because I did. And it's scary and awesome and terrifying. He's muscley. If one just looked at him and didn't know him, one might assume that he lives in Meathead Central at the gym. But he's not mean and he's very encouraging. But we'll see how that goes. Officially we're not dating exclusively yet and I'm okay with that. But because of him I do want to be a better person and improve my health.
So, SparkFriends, I'm SO SORRY that I've been AWOL. I've missed you all. Also, I have about 400 messages from SP to read. Yikes. That's a lot of things I've missed. Catch me up in the comments if there's anything I've missed that you're excited about!
And I pinky promised Yoda that I wouldn't quit after he left the gym. Pinky promises are SERIOUS BUSINESS, so I plan on keeping it. And I pinky promise you AWESOME PEOPLE that I'll frequent here more often!
