I have to admit, I have no idea where this latest surge of determination has come from. But, I'm loving it! I'm feeling so much better, and more energized. Which is great, because you know what that means - cleaner house, cleaner eating, happier me! Just one big cycle of awesome.
I wish I could bottle some of this feeling up and save it for later, but I'll have to settle for blogging about it and re-reading these blogs when I'm feeling down.
Here are some things I am currently enjoying:
I'm starting to look forward to my workouts. Also, being on this January challenge of working out every day, and an extra 30 minutes 5 times/week forces me to get creative. Sometimes I go home and don't feel like what I had planned, or it rains, or something comes up. But, I have to get that workout in somehow, so I get creative and I'm finding if I put my mind to it, I can always fine someway, somehow.
I'm experimenting with new foods, spices, and combos. It's been really fun in the kitchen lately! Only downside is, it means a lot more dishes. Haha! I'm also really enjoying steamed edamame. Soooo good!!
Feeling happier! Having that workout time to vent and scream and cry and mull things over all in my head is great. I really get those emotions out. I'm just generally in a good mood, and that's such a good feeling.
I've finally found a way to incorporate yoga into my life, having to get creative with those workouts. Since this has been doctor-ordered for so long, I'm glad to finally have a reason to 'have' to do it.
My only complaint here is my knees. They have been soooo swollen lately and tender. I know that's just from my working out. I also know when I see the doc next week she won't be happy. But, I'm hoping that over time with strengthening my legs and body, I will have less problems with my knees. Which would mean, more fun day-long activities with the hubby!!
