The bottom line is many days I don't have a complete tracker at the end of the day. I start each day with the best of intentions and I typically track breakfast and lunch, but it's pretty rare I track the full day. Undoubtedly, this has been an obstacle for me (sometimes the truth hurts). So I started tracking on Sunday and have managed to do a great job of keeping it going.
I'm busy, I have a lot on my plate (of life, not my dinner plate!)--but that's not a valid excuse. It's all the more reason why I need to make sure I'm fueling my body in the best possible way. By not tracking, not only may I be overeating, I may actually be UNDEReating, which isn't something I aspire to do! Trust me, I want all of the calories I'm entitled to have -- and I don't want to risk sabotaging myself by not getting enough healthy foods.
So this is day 3 of my tracking streak. My goal is to track the rest of the month of January. That doesn't mean I stop tracking on Feb. 1. It just means today I'm focusing on tracking for today and tomorrow I will do the same ... and so on, and so on. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect an honest tracker for each day. I can learn from it, improve from it, and maybe even inspire myself (or you)!
I'm not going to weigh myself again until Feb. 1. I've been stuck at the same spot for FAR too long. Granted, I'm thrilled I didn't gain over the holidays, but I would be happier if I would have lost, even one pound.
So I'm tracking and I'm sharing my tracker if you want to check up on me at some point! Better yet, join me!
