I have been so inspired by so many folks here on SP. Those of you who:
track your food
eliminate alcohol from your daily diet
cook healthy foods
stay on track
blog to motivate
send specific support messages
say random things that totally resonate with me
make me laugh
and so much more....
So, now I have what seems to be a plan. Someone blogged about whatever they were doing wasn't working so they needed some other plan. Hmmmmm...
Can I say duh! Duh Schne! Something else needs to work.
What does work is hiring a trainer. Yep - got one of those, since September. While I am not any lighter, I am stronger and more flexible. Thanks Austin! Of course , thanks to me to for keeping it up. Now, I need to lose the weight, because you can only lose so much SPACE before you have to start losing weight.
Having a very specific goal in mind also helps along with a specific plan. Yes I go to the gym 5 days a week. I am still not losing weight.
So - track my food. I am going to track my food for a full week to see what is happening in the food department, because while I feel like I am eating right, I'll bet things are sneakin' right by me and into my mouth without really being noticed. (noticed last night that french fries from my friend's plate snuck right into my mouth!)
I am also going to start training for a 5k. GSartor told me that her trainer told her that 30 minutes of interval training is more effective than 60 minutes of cardio. I have heard this or variations of this for a while now. Tomorrow in the gym it begins. I will try it for a week and see what happens. I have a play list that has some great songs (although any suggestions for good workout songs would be appreciated!) and my itouch is charged and ready to go! I am excited for this part of the journey. I hope this change up in my routine is successful.
