So, what did I learn so far? I'm now on Day 4 of the 1200 calorie tracking plan.
a) The scale does show a difference if am active and stay within range. But I knew this already.
b) The moment the scale got within a couple of pounds of my previous low, I thought about junking the new 10 Day Calorie Limit Plan, with the rationale that " I am doing fine... Don't need to be so strict with myself." Talked myself out of that one by remembering how great it felt to stick with the 10 Day Holiday Maintenance Plan.
c) Now that I am on 1,200 Calorie per Day plan, for a few days, I am starting to feel hungrier, and started thinking about raising the calorie limit. But I decided to stick with the 10 Day Plan as I promised to myself. I can do this for 10 days. I know that there are satisfying foods that I can eat that fit into the 1200 per day calorie limit. Plus other non-food treats. It's only for 10 days.
d) It helps to have a short term plan. 7 more days on this plan. Then I'll go up to 1500. Work on a positive vision that does not involve binge eating as a reward. But maybe something like Weight Watchers "flexible points" - where there is room for variation from day to day.
