Saying 'No' to Temptation

Tuesday, January 08, 2013

I was so proud of myself yesterday!

Yesterday 8:30 pm the phone rings. My sis was calling and asked me to let my parents know she needed to be picked up at the train station at 8:55. My Dad went to get her.

When they got home, my sister immediately came to the kitchen where me and my mom were watching music videos on Youtube, puts her dirty lunch containers in the sink then goes to the fridge to have some jello, topped by lots of whipped cream. My dad soon joined her to be followed by my mom who complained that this is how she'd gained her 'pot belly'. I wisely kept my thoughts to myself.

By this point I had already brushed my teeth so I was all ready for bed. I'm sitting there with them while they were all having dessert. My mom tried to get me to have some. I told I'd pass; I'd already brushed my teeth. Her reply? 'You can brush them again after.' Again, I answered 'No' and she left me alone.

I'm so proud of myself for sticking up for my body :) If I can do it, YOU can as well.

Have a good day everyone!

You did pretty well! Keep on going!

I have to act like you, but it's tough with a boyfriend that always bring chocolate candy bars and Tim Hortons donuts! =P

It's hard to stick up for yourself like you did when you're going against the flow. Good job!
