It has been a very interesting day. We were surprised at work by the news that the state auditors had arrived on our doorsteps and wanted all the compiled data from the last year re: student contacts, syllabi, course materials, and various and sundry other official type materials that needed to be ripped out of whichever cavity it is supposedly hiding.
It was also the first day back at school after the break, so the students were VERY excited to see one another (and us, as well). It was great to see them, but the 10-hour day was tiring. The true positive is that they were all ready and anxious to learn and ready to suck up whatever knowledge I could impart.
Another positive about today is that I got the results of the follow-up blood work I had done on Saturday. On October 31, 2012, my cholesterol was 225, with an HDL of 56, an LDL of 151, and an 89 Triglygerides. Today I found out that my total cholesterol was 144, with an HDL of 53, and LDL of 77, and a 72 Triglycerides. I am completely stunned and positively thrilled! This is the lowest it has been since I have been having it checked. I did not believe it was possible!
I am one happy girl!
