Gratuitous food list ahead - mostly to remind myself that I need to focus on the good stuff!

So, I wrote about how I tend to slip up earlier. That did happen today. I'm not sure if it's because I'm re-adjusting to my work schedule after winter break, or if it's because my body wills it so, or because I tried to be fairly active today.

Lots of water tonight, though. Tomorrow is a new day.
I've also not been pushing my normal 30 minutes on the elliptical. I tend to push so hard that I feel nauseous, and it's really hard to breathe through my nose (blasted dry air), so it's a bit hard to stay the course. I still hit 2 miles in 18 minutes, though, which is awesome. :-)

To keep positive thoughts going, I will list some positive foods that I love. Focus on the good stuff. *nod*

~Strawberries
~Oatmeal I need to cook myself, and add good stuff to
~Turkeyturkeyturkey...deli turkey, turkey bacon, turkey sausage...turkey breast is my favorite!
~Watermelon!!!
~Fresh peaches
~Romaine lettuce
~Fresh spinach
~Salmon
~Popcorn that I pop myself, in a pot on the stovetop...I miss our old-school, dome-top popcorn popper!
~Egg white or turkey subs from Subway, loaded with veggies
~Cherries
~Homemade stir-fries that usually incorperate chicken and lots of random veggies
~Whole wheat, whole grain bread
~Triscuits
~Hummus!
~Oranges
~Apples (with cinnamon!)
~Bananas (with cinnamon!)
~Homemade pita bread
~Cheese...in smart amounts!
~Nuts - almonds, cashews, peanuts...
~Seeds - sunflower, pumpkin
~GREEN TEA!
~Raspberry Zinger with honey and lemon juice - very soothing
~My homemade Italian Wedding soup
~Salad (minus the ham/bacon bits/bleu cheese/diced eggs)
~Most beans
~Yogurt!
~Blueberries
~Bell peppers
~Rice
~Unsweetened iced tea
~Starfruit!
~Pineapple (fresh!)

...and I think I'm done torturing everyone for the time being. Sorry, all, this was really more for my own benefit.

    We've been eating the heck out of squash lately. Have you ever tried kabocha squash? It's even more sweet-pumpkin-y than butternut, and is awesome mashed with curry spices.

    You've got a rather extensive list going there. Good job focusing on the yummy stuff that is also healthy.

My healthy-food addiction? emoticon emoticon emoticon A cheese n veggie platter is my favorite way to end the day!
