I'm a Juicemeister ~ My more serious side (by request)

Seesko has inspired me to try a juicing fast. I'm aiming for 5 days as opposed to her 30. I have never made homemade juice before this. I do not own a juicer nor a food processor. I am using my blender, so I get all of the pulp and peeling as well as the liquid. I spent around 2 hours yesterday washing and prepping fruits and veggies for the week. I have been asked by friends to blog about the process, so I post these as well as my regular much more interesting blogs.

Day 1
Woke up tired…not a good night’s sleep. Other than that, feel fine.
Breakfast: 1Grapefruit & 2 Oranges mixed with 1 cup water…made about 24 oz.
A bit tart…I prefer salt with my citrus, but not too bad.

Mid Morning Snack: 1 small bag of frozen Mixed Fruit (Best Choice) and 2 cups of Spinach about 24 oz.
Yummy -- Love this one! Very sweet

Lunch: sweet pepper apple juice…about 16 oz.

Pretty Good, much sweeter than I had expected

Afternoon Snack: Whole Fruit Juice …24 oz

I left the honey out, which saves almost 50 calories per serving. I found it plenty sweet enough without it.

Dinner: Whole Fruit Juice, without the honey …8 oz

I was gassy from mid-afternoon on, but I’m not really sure if it was from the juice, or all the tacos I ate yesterday. emoticon Other than that, I have felt fine, just tired. I definitely planned too much juice today. It was hard to finish, and I would have been satisfied with much less. Tomorrow I will drink smaller portions, or eliminate the snacks.

I spent an hour and a half tonight making my juices for tomorrow.
