Opened the Alternate Saving Account

Monday, January 07, 2013

So I am getting the year started off semi putting my money where my mouth is & opened another savings account to do the $1 then add a $1 plus each week. I had $25 so I guess you would say I am set for the month but NOOOOOO... I am thinking of putting another $25 in there right now..lol

I do want take the slow & steady route as with getting more workouts in & eating better. I also desire to take the road less traveled which is a slightly less popular route let me tell you. I rarely see many people I know on it but I am encouraged from you all Sparkfam!

Walked for 45min now I am trying wrapped my head around 40mins of boot camp. Back in the day, that used to be a teaser for me now it takes everything I have to get it in....ugh! lol

So let's really dig deeper and the most you can ever do is a little bit better than the best you can....

God bless & Happy Monday we made it!

Baby girl our church is doing this savings plan as well, however we flipped. It's easier to give the higher amounts beginning off the year versus us going at the end with the holidays and shopping. Just an idea I wanted to share!

How cool that we're both working at saving! My special account is at Ally, an online bank that pays pretty good interest. I can't wait to save enough for a cool trip!

God bless every penny you set aside.

Girl, I am right there with you. Yesterday, I did 50 minutes of elliptical before my legs started crying. Then I did planks, and I felt like I was back to square 1. The Russian Twists had me sweating like crazy. On the financial scene, I told my husband since I have lost so much weight (well, enough to be able to buy used stuff), we are not buying new clothes or items for the house anymore (my son will get new socks and undies). There are plenty of thrift stores, one in particular that gives its money to children with autism. I am still the only one working, so it makes the motivation to save easy (ier). You keep at it! Before long, you'll have a next egg for the summer. emoticon

I like that savings plan, never seen it before.
My new employer has a credit union. I opened 2 ladder accounts in mid Dec. I need to be WAY more financially responsible.

Hey!!! My sister and I JUST talked about doing this exact thing this morning! How cool is that to come across your blog now and see it in print :-) I am so doing it!!! I've decided to put my dollars in a jar here at home though, so I can actually "see" it grow!!! What will you do with your savings at the end of the year? :-)

Kudos to you on your activity for today!!! I still have to get my walk in yet emoticon
