First Day! AKA My Poor Body

My first day went very well! I am going to be an extremely busy lady in the next 6 months, but I'm really excited to finally feel like I am beginning a career.

My body, however, is freaking out. I have gotten so used to waking up at 9 a.m. the past two years, that even my digestive system was on a set schedule. (TMI...sorry.) Today I am all out of whack because I got up at 5:30! I still went for a run as soon as I got home while it was still light out. It was a really great run, I have to say! I had tons of energy. Now, I'm ready to fall asleep!!

My eating was really weird today too. I forced myself to eat breakfast at 5:30 because even though I wasn't hungry at ALL, I knew I had to eat something. For "lunch" I brought a lot of snacks...applesauce, an apple, string cheese! My BF surprised me by putting a love note and a package of Gushers in my lunch bag when I wasn't looking. :-) I also brought soup leftovers. I ended up eating everything EXCEPT the soup because I didn't have time. I did eat it just now after my run because I really felt the need for some fuel.

Well, I have to get back to doing my "homework!" I'm really happy about this change in my life, and even though the commute isn't great, it could be a LOT worse. It's kind of nice to be out and about at 6 a.m., when it's still dark, and all is quiet. Very few cars on the streets, NO people. Very empty trains. Plus, I get out before rush hour so I don't have to deal with crowds! SCORE!
