I started on the right track last Wednesday and created a blog for that as well because I felt motivated and I walked during lunch on Wed, Thurs, and Fri for 30 min each so I am proud of that. I tracked all my food on those 3 days and met my water goal for those 3 days as well...and then the weekend happened! Yes, I know that most of us let the weekend consume us and I did as well but with an open mind. On Saturday I spent my day with my good friend who lost her Grandmother on Tuesday and we visited a spiritual fair so she could speak with a medium and her Grandma came through! It was an amazing experience for her and it made me feel so happy for her - during our day together we were pretty active, took my son to the park and when we went to eat lunch at Denny's we shared and I ordered small portions to share with my son so I was deliberately focused on portion size and stopping before I was full so I thought that was an improvement for sure. On Sunday the hubby and I did a lot of stuff around the house so movement was there but we only had one main meal in the late afternoon and we ended up eating a lot - granted it was only 1 of our 2 meals for the day but I know that can be bad to overload on calories during one meal and not eat anything else later on - I wasn't hungry later on but I should have spread it out better.
So today I had a good breakfast of whole grain and protein and I plan on taking my lunch walk since the rain has stopped and I WILL leave work 10 min early so I can make it to my jazzercise class without excuses!!! Tonight's dinner will have to be simple so spaghetti with turkey meatballs and a BIG salad - it is sure to please everyone!
Small steps will help me get back into it - OH and I found out over the weekend we are going to plan our family vacation to Key West, FL for Late April or early May b/c hubby's brother is getting married down there - they haven't finalized the wedding date yet so I want to lose some lbs before then so I can just feel more confident! Having something to make a goal for really helps me too!!
I think I will shoot for losing 20 lbs by May 1st, 2013 - I will accomplish this by completing 30 min lunch walks 4X per week, cardio exercise 3X per week for 60 mins at a time as well as staying within my calorie range of 1300-1600 per day. Mini goals I think are better for me overall anyways!
