Slow and steady. Do what you can, when you can. It is really hard with little ones - I started running after my two go to bed (since DH was home then and could easily take over as needed) - but it's hard. My kids are 4 and 6 now and it's still hard!
But, if you're committed to it, you can do it. You can also incorporate your little one into your workouts... do tummy time with you while you do pushups and sit ups... use them as a weight to work out your arms (carefully and safely of course).
Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!

I have still not figured this out for myself yet, but here's what 's been working for me....I focus now on doing 10 minutes here and there throughout the day. Some days I can manage to get a real workout in and some days I can't. So like last night I knew I'd be watching TV and I just used the commercial breaks to work out. Every commercial I'd do something different - jumping jacks, burpees, mountain climbers, etc...something high intensity. I don't know how much sleep you're able to get with the little one but I would definitely focus on getting your sleep too! Even if you can't sleep during the day, use his nap time to go rest yourself.

Also, I have come to terms that for this season of my life I just don't have the time to devote to running like I used to. Sure, I may have a good day here and there where I can leave the baby with dad and get a good hour's run in, but it's the exception, not the rule. I focus more now on making sure I stay within my calorie range. It's easier to just not eat certain things than it is to burn the calories.

I hope that helps. Also, ask God and he may show you creative solutions! :D

First of all, Congratulations Mom!! The only quip that I can give you , bacause I never did have this happen to me, is, and no pun intended, it will be all baby steps and bunny hops to get back to your earlier workout routine! Best of luck on/ in your journey!
