Day 7 of the Challenge and the beginning of a new week

Today is MONDAY and it is back to the school routine! Getting up early this morning was a challenge, but once I was up, I was up! I will probably feel it tonight!

I hope that your day is going well so far!

I am working on another blog post and this time I answer the question: Is Goat's Milk and products considered dairy? There will also be another tip from IGOR! AND...his tip will be your homework! Please report back if you did it and how you did it. THANKS!

I have so many deadlines this week, it is just crazy! Kids are back to school I know, but I have already said NO to a dinner appointment, for two reasons, the 30 Day Challenge, ( don't want to mess up) and I am way too busy!

I am starting to get my energy back now that my diet is cleaned up and so I am hoping to get in a little bit more exercise this week. I worked up a sweat vacuuming I know, but that really does not count as satisfying, feel good exercise! My dumbbells are calling my name too...and as in the previous 30 Day challenge I KNOW I can fit 15 minutes in a day, right!

I am down to 2 cups of coffee, and have had NO SUGAR and no wheat, no alcohol or pop ( by default...I don't have those anyway) ....dairy, well that is another thing....( blog link to follow at bottom of post)

Some of you have asked me some questions and I am so happy to address them in upcoming posts!

    Monday - no hard cheese again - in fact, a very cautious day after grandson's BBQ and then went to big brother's 70th birthday lunch today .. salad all the way

however ... who brought Swiss chocolate into the house ... Thank you, my houseguest. Oh well,it's all gone now - and it's not cheese!

    No white carbs went good for me yesterday. I am new and want to make sure I am where I am suppose to be - where exactly is the "homework" - is ti the "tell everyone what you are doing" - or have I missed the boat completely. (that's what I get for being a late starter)

    I told my dh and kids and my parents. Girlfriend is next. I had already told my dh actually and he's the one who was giving me the gears the other day about the coffee - can't remember the grocery list, but he can remember I told him I wasn't drinking coffee for a month -go figure! LOL.

Liked the article your blog pointed to regarding hormones and antibiotics in cattle. I am so tired of seeing people referring to USA info when ours in Canada is different. While we can always do better, I'm fairly happy with what Canada has been doing. I've been cutting down dairy, but not because I'm overly concerned about what's in ours if it's made with Canadian milk. Thoughts? (and I'm not trying to start any argument!)

Have a great day! I even managed to cut my pop down again yesterday - at least I'm not drinking more - and that's saying something. Craving for it has not diminished at all though. :(

    Missed this line first time around. "If you are dutch you should tolerate dairy well"
I AM dutch and although I love cheese in moderation, I don't drink milk and are mildly lactose intolerant - a little goes a long way :)
So being a "kaaskoppie" doesn't help :)

    My energy is up - probably also due to finally putting the flu behind me I think. However, I can already tell that decreasing the tea and pop is having a difference (because I've done it before and noticed the same results. Guess it wasn't coincidence LOL). Tonight I made whole wheat pizza crust and loaded it up with veggies, a little ham and a light helping of cheese. My taste buds must not be back because everyone raved and I thought "meh, so so". Also made your Quinoa and veggie crockpot soup - messed up taste buds made me go light on the herbs - everyone liked it except said it needed more seasoning. Added a bit more herbs at the table and got a thumbs up. Loved the texture of the quinoa and veggies - just the right broth vs stuff mix.

    Ah, the routines of back to school!
Thank you so much for the time you put in to research the "no dairy" question.
I have no other reason to eliminate it than wanting to lose a few(!) pounds and complying with the challenge. No physical or ethical reasons. So to stick with the challenge, feta cheese is out till the end of the month :)
