Monday. What I'm eating today.

It's easy to tell you what I'm eating today because I'm on day two of the Hungry for Change detox cleanse.

B - 1 L lemon water, green juice
snack - some soaked/sprouted nuts
L - HUGE salad
snack - green juice or more nuts
S - vegetable soup
snack - chia pudding, tea

After this cleanse we are jumping into a seven day juice fast. We are doing our own thing using juices I've found on the internet and in several books I own. My partner and I have committed to following the Eat to Live meal plan for one year. In the first five days of the year of following the principles of Eat to Live, I lost five pounds eating this:

B - 1 L water with lemon and ginger, followed by a green juice
snack - green smoothie
L - huge salad
snack -nuts or juice
S - something healthy and yummy
snack - hot cocoa or banana "ice cream"

Healthy eating has never really been my downfall, it's been sticking to exercise. So I've started walking just 20 minutes a day and I really enjoy that. It's nice to be outside even if it's cold and snowy. I get additional exercise once a week shoveling snow, oh joy! :D My goal this week is to break a sweat five days a week. Today I did Burn 1 of Chalean Extreme by Beachbody.

So, it works... and I'll be back to let you know how we make out in the next ten days as well as how we're making out with Eat to Live as the year goes on. It feels really great to be off bread and sugar. I won't lie, though... I cannot wait to have one coffee when the juice detox is done.

    That's so great both you and your partner are committed. I find that the difficult can become possible when you are a team.

    That sounds great! I take hot water and lemon juice every morning. I find it is a great diuretic.
