2012 was, overall, a better weight loss year than 2011 (when I was a net zero...).

I had a net 8-pound loss, which is great until I realize that I had actually been down 15 pounds at many points during the year. I'm back on the wagon, and have lost 3 pounds this year by (guess what?) tracking my food and eating mindfully.

My first weight goal of 2013 is to get to 139 by 2/27 (this is optimistic, but attainable, as it's 7 pounds down). My little reward is a drink with some of the kids at J#2.

My second weight goal is to his my Ultimate Weight Goal of 135. Reward? To get a second (and maybe a third!) piercing in my right ear to commemorate. One of the J#2 kids and I even have a piercing date. I am such a California girl!

My immediate goal is to not screw everything up when we go on our Cabo vacation with my best weight loss supporter and her husband. It will be difficult. My plan is to limit alcohol (no umbrella drinks for me) and starches. We will be doing a lot of walking.

I made it through the weekend with no weight gain. This is a big deal. Although I didn't track everything (difficult as we ate out once), I ate mindfully and told myself NO a few times. NO works for Mali, and my brain is bigger than hers, so I have remember to use it.

My NSVs include the fact that I'm into some size 8s (and a couple of my sister's size 6s), depending on the brand (vanity sizing is wonderful); I feel like a teenager a lot of the time; my confidence is up; my kids are proud of me.

2013 is going to be mine. Keep poking, prodding, and nagging me! I'll do the same for you!
