Life in Maintenance Mode update

I have not posted very many blogs here on SP...I am going to change that this year! I have gone on SP every day since I joined...to track food, exercise, and to read posts. emoticon
Now, that I have been at goal weight for a year and a half...I am making it my mission to be of assistance to anyone on the journey to a healthy weight! So, if you need help..just reach out and I will help in any way that I can.... emoticon
For now...Here are some things that I have learned on my journey(BTW I still learn EVERY day)
*I need to track what I eat each day to keep me mindful of what I put into my mouth
*Find what works for you in terms of weighing yourself....For me...I weigh myself each morning.(I do not get discouraged by the fluctuations..I find them informative)
*Exercise for the pure JOY of it...this may take some time to build up to...just be patient!
*Eat the bulk of your food as close to it's natural state as possible!!!!! Think HIGH nutrient foods!!!
*Start NOW to live the life you have always wanted!!!!! You never know if tomorrow will be.. emoticon

    And Well Said!! on all of those points made!!! I was thinking of those same things yesterday because I sure as heck didn't give up on my junk, but I do choose the "healthier" variety more often than not to give me that CrUnCh I so desire with my lunch! Keep on keepin' on!!!

    Congratulations on a year and a half of successful maintenance! I know that you're already a member of the 'At Goal & Maintaining + Transition to Maintenance' team but I'd like to encourage you to become more active there as well. I've found that having and giving support to other maintainers is hugely rewarding and much needed since, for many, maintenance is the hardest part of the weight management process.

    You know, I do believe we've been SP friends for a while, and I don't think I knew that we lived so close to each other??? Lol.

    To be at your goal weight for that long is AMAZING!!! Great job :)

    You've maintained for over a YEAR???!!!! I'm so very impressed!!! I usually can buckle down and lose but once I get to goal weight I just 'let it go'. I get thin, start gaining a few pounds and then get pregnant anyway...so what's the point? I'm not saying that I am not going to keep on trying to be healthy and lose weight, but I just find maintenance difficult. Congrats!!
