I am close to losing my goal of 3 lbs this week! Down 2.6 since the 1st. Today I walked my 90 minutes outdoors, since it is 32 degrees and sunny. As I continue to lose, I burn less calories per day..lol. I was burning 668 calories, but now only 658.
I watched the Biggest Loser last night, and it was great. I re-watched it after my brother went to bed, and without his yapping, I got a whole different vibe on 2-3 of the contestants. Tonight is another show.
My brother started back to school today. He goes 8-12. This semester he took a day off during the week, and has a short class on Friday, even though he works. That way, if the car breaks, or he needs to go see a doctor, he can. We received a letter from the college 2 days ago, basically commending him on doing so well in his English class. He thought it was his hardest class. He got A's in all 4 classes, but Math and English were in the low 90%'s, while he aced computers, and political science. He loves politics, even managed a few state senator races, and got 110% in the class, by doing all the extra credit. He got every single answer correct on every paper, and taught the professor some things about politics. She was young, and didn't really know much besides the book, so she would know the answers, but wasn't really sure how something worked in the real world. She was outraged about the Citizens United deal. I don't think most Americans paid attention to it. He is super happy to get back to school.
I finished The Race by Clive Cussler, and am half done with The Faithful Spy by Alex Berenson. My brother read the first 4 books in 2 days..lol. That is what Head Start does for kids. I was born in California, and the program was experimental there. He started reading at 2 years of age, and Head Start just accelerated his learning. We moved to Denver, then Michigan, since my Dad was a Frito-Lay manager, and I started school at 6 instead of 3. I read by 3 1/2 though. Still, even though I tested in the top 3 percentile on the ASVAB, my brother is way ahead of me in knowledge, because all of the reading he has done. I read A Dance with Dragons in 4 days, and it is 959 pages long, but he could do it in 1 day. Amazing that it made that huge of a difference.
I had a mushroom omelette for breakfast, then walked. About to have a can of green beans for my snack, and cook up my chicken, tomatoes, and onion for my lunch and dinner. Then I plan to read some, and watch Biggest Loser at 8. I had a few Werther's each day the last few days, and going to try to eat 100 % clean this week. Hopefully this leads to some bigger losses. No more candies left.
Have a great day!
