Inventory - new week, new year, Let's do it!!

Today is our first full week of 2013. I decided to look at my past tracking and meals and decide what helped me the most. I wrote down a list of the recipes and food choices that helped me with a loss those weeks. I then, cleaned out my refrigerator and made some meal plans. I also cleaned out the freezer and found I have many varieties of food in there. I have to GET GOING and Just DO IT!! I am going to be MORE Determined and MORE Focused as I begin to start my new year program. Christmas, New Years and the birthday parties and holiday parties are all over. No excuses now. Tracking is the KEY and MOVING is extremely important too!! Will you
join me please in this new year planning? Plan meals, check recipes, watch portion control and get healthy for life. This is not a diet. This is a LIFETIME decision to become healthier, happier and honest with myself. No cheating, mark down every little bite you eat, Eileen...lol...take a snack in the car when you know you will be gone for awhile. Plan ahead, it works. Eat at home more often. If eating out, check the menu online before you go and decide ahead what you will have. Don't eat the bread they bring. Tell them, no cheese, no croutons on the salad. Drink lots of water and follow the 9 healthy guidelines from WW points plus plan. That is my plan. Do what works for you best. I love the song, "I just haven't met you yet." I am referring to my GOAL. I hope my focus will lead me to my goal and I will meet my desired weight for life. I too, have taken inventory. The same conclusions were the result I have learned I can't do it on my own. I would welcome any thoughts you would have to share. emoticon

    I agree this is not a diet, this is a lifetime decision to become healthier. I re-joined WW at my doctors orders last August due to health issues and have already seen the benefits in my medical tests. This has to become my way of life to become healthy and stay healthy.

    Great ideas Eileen. That's the talk and motivation we all need right now. I have processed healthy foods and put them in my freezer all summer. Now that the holidays are over (with birthdays still coming) I am going to (like you) plan my meals and eat those healthy vegetables. Thanks so much for waking me up.     I'm with you,too!! I like your idea of going through and getting your fridge and freezer into shape. Even though mine are woefully empty, there isn't much healthy stuff. :o( On the bright side, there's nothing in either that I feel compelled to eat because "I wouldn't want to waste it"!

Our payday is the 16th this month, so it gives me plenty of time to sit down and figure out some good menus and make my grocery list. Thanks for the nudge I needed!

    I'm with you. I've been going strong for the past two weeks. So it great to know someone else is ready to join in. Great idea about getting the 'fridge and freezer in shape as well.
