We are going to Portland tomorrow, to see if DH will have the surgery next week.

Sunday, January 06, 2013

This morning we woke up to snow. I slept late and DH went out to blow the driveway. I usually go outside to help. I had to stay indoors because when I go out in the cold I start to cough. I have an inhaler now so I can prepare for going outside.
The good news this morning is -NO more snow till the end of the week. I sure hope they are right.

Tomorrow DH has a Podiatrist appointment and I will try to secure a room for tomorrow night since I have to be there on Tuesday for my appointment at the Spine Clinic..

I am going to make sure we will be able to find a room for when we go to the hospital for DH surgery. I want it to be as close as possible because I get lost in Portland, there are so many one way streets.

I slept late and we stayed in all day. Tonight I watched Downton Abbey, we watched all of the other series so this was our plan.

Now it is time for bed, I have read all of the comments on the last week of blogs and as soon as I have the next 2 days in hand I hope to be back to commenting on more of your blogs.

I feel like it has been a one way conversation with all of you but without your comments and support I have no clue how we got through this first week of the year.

Thanks for the support,
HUGS Pat in Maine. We are finally off to bed. emoticon

Our snow is finally melting and we have no more bad weather until Sunday.

I hope you can find a good motel. I don't mean to concern you but be sure to ask if they have ever had bedbugs. They will usually tell you. Some motels here have.

Hope everything went well today for you Pat!

Don't forget to keep track of your mileage for all these medical visits - you can include that towards your medical deductible when you do your taxes. (or at least that has been the case recently!)

I watched "Downton" for the first time last night--figured I'd give it a try since it keeps getting rave reviews, and I enjoyed it--can see how you can become involved with all those characters. You must especially enjoy it, with its British setting.

Good luck on all your upcoming medical events!

Glad to hear you won't be piling up more snow for a bit. We had a tiny bit of rain today, but mostly fog and now its cold. What has been more troubling out here lately is that there have been about 4-5 people now that have been washed out to sea by "sneaker" waves. The sate is starting to post signs now as unfortunately a lot of visitors to our beaches don't know the dangers.

Hope your Dr. appt. goes well tomorrow and the driving is no problem. Getting a hotel near the hospital is a great idea, so hope that works out as well. Sounds like you are going to have some pretty busy days coming up.

How's your cold doing? emoticon
