Sixth Day New Year's Resolutions ...

emoticon The 2013 new year has arrived and I will begin a new start on being the person I wish to become. I'll be daily posting some of the activities and events of my day. Hopefully this will help me to visualize the accountability of my resolutions.
emoticon I woke up naturally about my normal wake up time to the sound of birds. Not one, two or a few, but a lot of birds ... and several different kinds. I counted at least four and maybe five. The sun wasn't even up yet. I personally relate God with the sound of birds due a past experience in my much younger years. This immediately put me in a communicating mode with God. Before I knew it an hour had gone by and I hadn't even gotten out of bed yet.
When I did get up I spent some computer time communicating with some friends there.
I watched a short church service on television.
I did my morning regime and prepared myself for church service, which I then went to and attended.
I stayed after the regular church service for a short after-service and a visit with some church friends.
When I returned home I had a lean pork lunch and some dh time.
I gathered some materials I'll be wanting for my students at school in this coming week. (I won't be taking some of it in until the end of the week, but wanted to make certain it was together and easily accessible when I'm ready for it.)
I took a 45 minute nap.
I spent several hours doing some research for school lesson plans.
I prepared a healthy seasoned turkey, garlic potatoes and seasoned greens meal for dinner.
My daughter and her two children dropped by for a short visit and to pick up some items they'd left at their last visit. There were lots of hugs and "I love you." passed around.
I prepared my healthy lunch for work tomorrow.
I did some stair-stepping before getting ready for bed.
I am doing some Sparkpeople posting and communicating before retiring for the night.

it is never to late to start.

my sister lost 105 pounds at age 63 walking 15000 steps a day.

i have lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products at age 60..

i walk 15000 steps a day.

i use a salad plate as my dinner plate.

i keep mandrtan oranges in the fridge. when the sweet tooth comes on i grab one or two tablespoons of the fruit.
