I squeezed in my workout before church today. I got in 20 minutes on the elliptical. I decided to go with that since I really don't want to overdo with the UFC trainer before going to church, then work. I'll find out tomorrow if I can do Sunday's workout on Monday. I hope so. I don't want to restart and repeat the same workouts I've already done. Those muscles are still sore.

I'm still eating well and haven't been tempted to eat junk. My kids and husband are great at helping me get my food ready to take to work. I hope hubby gets some groceries today. I really need some veggies to munch on. We'll see what kind of meal plan he comes up with for the week.

Work is pretty interesting today. I'm a hospital pharmacist. Today was my first experience with a protocol to cool a heart attack patient. I work in the pharmacy, not on the floor, so I didn't see what was going on. I just dealt with the med orders and read through the protocol. They lower the patient's body temp to 91.5 degrees F (33 C), and keep him cooled for 24 hours. Aparently, this improves outcomes in certain patients.

Interesting. I had read somewhere that that was one of the only treatment methods they had back in the old days and they used to put people in an ice bath for a few hours to stabilize them. Once the drugs came along they abandoned it, but it still works.
