I gave up gym memebership to start working out in my home ( photos )

Sunday, January 06, 2013

I have everything to work out with in my home instead of paying at the gym,my husband put up mirrors so I can check out my form when I do my free weights. I really do not like the treadmill, I watch tv while on it, or look around at the walls . When i see the tiger in the picture I pretend I am on a safari when I get tired in my mind of tramping through the forest, I look over at the picture with the ballet slippers in the photo & remember when I did ballet. Or I look at the artificial flowers on the one stand & think of the kinds of flowers I will be getting this spring to plant. before you know it it is time to get off that dreaded treadmill. This weekend was so nice even with the snow my husband & I went for our walks outdoors.I have 4 early days off this week instead of working to 6:30 it will be 5:00 so I have a half hour before the night falls. I am really really trying to work out every day cardio & strength. Have a wonderful week everyone.

I don't think we need to pay those gym fees to make exercise happen. Looks like you have everything you need right there,

That workout place looks like exercises in holidays! Or in spa. The deco just blew me off from my seat, I love what you did!

i have an area in my basement that i can workout too. i also have some pages that have different routines. i don't like being on a gyms schedule. i like going into my basement and doing whatever workout i want.

I've done something similar. I have a one-room house (about 300 square feet), and a fair proportion of it is devoted to exercise. I have simple and inexpensive equipment like yoga mat, mini trampoline, hula hoop, dumbbells, and exercise videos. And mirrors! This year I didn't renew my gym membership. I love working out at home, and as you mentioned, we can also walk outdoors. Good luck!

So great! One thing doing it at home does is to remove excuses.

What a great area you have! Just think of the money and all the time you will save by having your home gym instead of having to go to one. It's nice that you decorated with things that give you good thoughts and memories.

I am thinking of giving up my Curves membership as I'm kind of tired of doing the same thing. I also have things at home to exercise with and did it for many years on my own. Wishing you lots of success, love your workout area!!
