One of the reasons I decided to get off of Diet Coke (DC) altogether was that someone close to me is trying to quit something much more harmful and addictive.
I've tried quitting it before, but nothing puts my little struggle in perspective more than watching someone you love try to beat something much worse.
So, I went cold turkey 9 days ago, and haven't had a drop of it since.
What changes have I noticed?
1. I still have ankles at the end of the day
2. My stomach feels good
3. My sugar cravings are much much lower (I'm working on this addiction too)
4. It's super-easy to meet my water goal every day
It's only been 9 days, so we'll see what happens next. I just want to keep it up, in solidarity with anyone who's trying to kick a habit.
