I struggled through BLC 20 but worked hard at participating. But the last 2 weeks I just couldn't seem to push my self. With the loss of my DH this summer I wasn't look ing forward to the holidays. I finally gave my self a break and just took a vacation from Christmas. Great decision.
I didn't eat all that bad through December although I did blow caution to the wind on New Year's eve. I quit tracking around 2400 calories. I was able to maintain my ending BLC weight. What I didn't do was exercise except for a few dry days when I walked a bit.
Yesterday (after staying home with a bad tummy Friday) I started thinking about goals I want to accomplish for 2013. Actually I've been pondering them for over a week now. I went grocery shopping early in the day and stocked up on fruits and veggies for the week. I made a big pot of split pea soup loaded with carrots and onions which I will take for some lunches this week. I splurged on lobster (which I wanted for Christmas but couldn't find the day before), fresh Dungeness crab and a tri tip steak for dinner later this week.
So far today, Breakfast:
14 oz coffee w/1/4 c milk
6 oz OJ
1/25 c. Split pea soup
Snack: 1 Orange
Lunch: (wonderful BTW!)
1 sm avacado chopped
1 med tomato chopped
2 T Mayo
Can I just say, OMG! Delish!
Dinner will be about 6oz Crab (it won't keep) with some melted butter and a side of steamed veggies. If I need another snack, it will be an apple.
Yesterday I finally did some upper body strength, not much mind you - about 25 min. But it's a start. Today I probably won't do any intentional exercise but I've been moving most of the day. Changed the bed, did 2 loads of laundry, did some house cleaning and decluttering.
So, my mind is into getting back on track, love this feeling.
Oh, and my #1 goal this year: Get rid of all the stuff DH and I collected over the last 28 years, sell the house and hopefully buy a small condo downtown.
