I do visit the Farmer's Market and Grocery store more than once a week. I want fresh produce! My husband and I talk about what we would like to eat.
I review the ads in the Sunday paper from my grocery store and cut coupons. I see the specials on organic and natural foods. I have a loose leaf notebook of our favorite recipes. I check my pantry and then craft a list of things I need. The menu is on the refrigerator for the week.
I turn on my computer and go to the web site of the grocery store. I enter all the items that I need. When I print the list, it puts the items in order of the aisles of my store (front to back of each aisle). I do a final sweep of the outside aisle of the store. Organic is important to me.
I have a personal dietitian once a month to review my food choices. I am adding more lentils and less meat. My goal is to have a diet perfect for both my husband and me.
