After being ill since New Years day, today I'm finally beginning to feel better. We had a morning at the beach with the dog to blow away the cob-webs and walked for an hour or so. This afternoon I have been catching up on laundry and doing a little knitting, still working on my socks, but knitting in the round is slow going for me. I can't wait to cast on my chunky sweater.
We have had lovely family meal together this evening, full of all the stuff we should not be eating!! So it feels as though my New Year will start tomorrow. DH and I are back to work and the girls are back into their routine - the holidays will be over.
I've been mulling over my resolutions for a while but have decided the best course of action is to "keep on doing".
I'm pretty good at regular exercise because I enjoy doing it, so I will continue with my running, make sure I get to the pool each week and of course my daily walks with my dog are mandatory. Added to this I will add SP videos for strength and flexibility. I think this equates to about 18000 fitness minutes for the year so I have reset my tracker accordingly. My weight stayed pretty static all last year so in 2013 I would like to get rid of at least 10 pounds.
My downfall is food tracking. I find it such a chore even though most of what I eat from day to day is already stored in favourites. So if I'm making a resolution - food tracking is going to be it.
