New Year's Goal

Sunday, January 06, 2013

When I look at my Spark points and compare them to my exercise points it's obvious that I know how to make points but my exercise is lagging. I'm much stronger now than when I started seven months ago and my endurance is a lot better.

Last week I walked to Bible study--two miles each way. No problem. I just scheduled it so that I had time to rest and cool down before going in. And, when going such a distance I need to pace myself, not race walk.

Now that I know I can easily spend two hours walking, I want to plan it into my week on days when I have more time for exercise.

We can do this!

I track my miles daily - my goal is to walk 1200 miles in a year (100 miles a month, which means average of 3.3 miles per day).

    congratulations on a great plan.
Walking is great and doing it outdoors is so much easier for me.
Except when it's cold...little disclaimer there. LOL
You are doing so good Beth!
I'm really proud of you.

Walking is the best! Outdoors - fresh air -- and gentle to moderate exercise depending on how you push yourself. Good for you!
