Yesterday was my second day on ETL diet. It was HARD. All night last night at work, I had crazy cravings for carbs...chips, fried chicken....you name it. It made me kind of cranky. During my lunch break, I read my favorite excerpts from ETL to remind myself why I don't want to eat that stuff. I also had to remind myself that my body is addicted to those foods but does not need that food since it has low nutrients. Instead, I ate my lentil stew, salad, and steamed green beans. Amazingly after two days, I am seeing some small results.
1: After a night of work, I usually end up with swollen fingers and feet. This morning, I did not have that. In fact, considering the amount of water I didn't drink...I peed quiet a bit!
2: I am down 2 pounds this morning. I am wondering if it is water weight.
3: the strawberries and orange I had for breakfast just now, tasted exceptionally good.
Instead of coffee, I drank some plain Earl Grey tea. It tasted very refreshing and I feel like my fruit and tea are a positive way to start off the day.
