Snowy Sunday

Sunday, January 06, 2013

I am glad I slept in a little today, got my dinner ingredients, lunch supplies for two weeks and veggies for our upcoming salads,,
met an old friend in the store, enjoyed that, have not seen her in ten years..

no new mice in traps at parental home,, but they are noshing down on the d-con baits,, feast for future dead mice.. we got one guy last week, one the week before,, if hey ever get allergic to peanut butter, we are in big trouble!!!

Wish I had more hours in the day to get things finished...

Yep, I did the PB route too - makes 'em work at it till the trap springs. A couple years ago I was helping my mother set some traps in her basement. Before I baited and set them, I tied a long piece of string to each one. "What's that for?" she asked. "Because I refuse to touch the things once there's a dead mouse in them. I will pick them up by the string and throw them out." "But then we have to buy new traps!" [This from the woman who refused to touch the traps at all if they caught anything.]

"Ma, they're 89 cents apiece - I'll go to the hardware store and replace any traps I throw out!"

Worked a treat, lol...

If you had more hours, you'd find ways to fill them!

A few more years until retirement. Then you can do anything you wish.
