Starting week 16: And Soon, a New Chapter.

Sunday, January 06, 2013

I know I've been terrible lately about keeping my weekly blog... But I have an excuse! I've been running like crazy for the holidays, and now I'm running like crazy to prepare for my move to Germany!! Truthfully there has been no progress on my weight in the last 3 weeks, but I'm hoping once I get moved and get settled in, I can start making progress once again. For now I'm happy to just not be putting my old weight back on!

There are exactly 9 days until I leave for Germany... Despite my (mostly) calm attitude, I'm not sure whether I'm freaking out on the inside or if I'm ridiculously excited. I guess I would have to say both. It's going to be such a huge change, but I really feel like it's one for the better.

I like to think of this as just a step towards bettering myself, growing up a bit, expanding my knowledge of world and the people in it. I hope to learn a lot in this next chapter of my life, and hopefully share my experience with others in the future.

I'm sure there will be many sleepless night when I'm going to hate myself and think I was crazy for doing this, but I know for sure I'll get through it, and come out on the other side as a better, stronger person.

I will miss everyone here so much - however, I know in my heart I will be back. It may be in a few months, or in a few years, one never knows. But I'm sure it will happen.

I hope to post more blogs in a couple of weeks about my new home, and I'll probably post a picture here and there.
So here's to a new chapter - may it be filled with many wonderful moments.
Wish me luck! emoticon

Actually I chose Germany a little over a year ago. I've been planning the move since January of 2012, it just took a lot of time to put into motion. I had to get my little dog and I prepared with all the necessary paperwork and whatnot.

I had originally planned to stay in the US, and even in my state, to study, but then I met someone and everything in my life changed completely - and I do mean EVERYthing! I'm moving there to be with him, and go to school.

I'm hoping to study language there and become an English teacher for as long as I stay, and maybe teach German whenever I move back to the states.
