New Year

I have to laugh at myself sometimes. Yesterday I went and had my nails done. I have never had them done before... so I'm having to learn the ins and outs of them. So far I think this is going to be the last time I have them done because they are driving me crazy. I want to be able to hold a laundry basket firmly without having to think about how to place my hands. I want to be able to grab my phone out of my pocket without feeling like it's surgery. Ladies who have this done regularly, you have me respect. This is hard! This is my first and probably last time.

So what does that mean for working out? Today I spent some time planking (I'm sad to say it's been a long while and it shows) and I did some bouncing on the ball. I no longer have the treadmill (it wasn't used much, but I do miss it for the times I did). Last week I did a bunch of shoveling snow (didn't have nails then and it was fun).

But this is an experiment on "treating" myself. My best friend has hers done often and thought I should give it a whirl. I think my next treat for myself will be something that won't hinder my movements. How do women do this all the time? How??!!??
