I have been reading and talking to people about green juice and how it gives you more energy etc. I decided to try it this morning. I stuck 5 leaves of kale, a handful of spinach, 1 apple, juice of 1/2 lemon, 2 celery stalks and a carrot ( all organic)into my blender with about 1 cup of water. It made about a pint of green juice after being strained. It was fresh tasting and not unpleasant, but after drinking the first time, I did have some nausea, which I understand might happen if you are not used to this. The only problem I have with this is what to eat the rest of the day and what is a good plan for juicing and eating whole foods? I am not ready to turn vegan or vegetarian. Any advice?
